Jun 11, 2017 · Another option (if the router supports it) is to flash DD-WRT to the router and then use the DDNS client there. I haven't used this particular feature of DD-WRT so can't comment on how well it works. In any case you need something running on the LAN to communicate IP address changes, otherwise you're looking at a static IP.
